BUN BUN
SHIRTS

Bun Bun T-shirt
from $22.00
Semla Bun
$8.00

A traditional Swedish semla bun, softly spiced with cardamom and baked until pillowy and light. Filled with freshly made almond paste and folded with cold, lightly whipped unsweetened cream. Balanced, aromatic, and deeply nostalgic, this is the bun Swedes wait all winter for.

Lemon Mini Loaf
$10.00

A small but intensely lemony loaf made with both fresh lemon juice and finely grated zest for depth and brightness.
Each loaf is soaked with a warm lemon syrup, then dipped in sugar and lemon zest.

Bright, aromatic, and not overly sweet, this is a lemon loaf that tastes like real citrus, start to finish

Size: 5.5 × 3 × 2”

Cardamom Bun
$7.00

Our signature bun — soft, golden layers wrapped around freshly ground cardamom. Buttery, hand-twisted, and just sweet enough. Subtly spiced, deeply satisfying — and hard to stop at just one.

Bun Bun Granola
$18.00

A deeply aromatic granola built on golden oats, honey and good olive oil.

Inspired by Swedish warmth, California light, and the richness of Greek olive oil where space and sweetness meet savory crunch.

Made with honey sweetener only, full of nuts, seeds and cardamom and perfect layered over yogurt with fresh fruit or jam.

A morning essential, made and packaged at Bun Bun Bakery.

12 oz

Sun Bun
$7.00

Sun’s out, buns out. Our custard-filled Sun Bun is baked until golden and glowing, with soft, buttery dough baked with a smooth vanilla cream center. Simple, radiant, and irresistibly bright.

Cinnamon Bun
$7.00

Inspired by the traditional Swedish kanelbulle. Soft, golden layers filled with cinnamon and topped with pearl sugar.

London Bun
$7.00

Think London Fog in pastry form: bergamot-rich Earl Grey tea, smooth buttery vanilla, and bright lemon zest layered into soft, hand-twisted dough. A modern fika classic

Vanilla Bun
$7.00

Our Vanilla bun — soft, golden layers wrapped around vanilla filling. Buttery, hand-twisted, and just sweet enough dipped in Sugar.

Citrus Jam
from $7.00

A seasonal citrus jam inspired by winter mornings on Crete.

When I was growing up there, in the early 90’s every student would come home from school with a heavy crate of oranges, surplus fruit dropped off by local farmers to be shared. Our kitchen would fill with the scent as my mom cooked and preserved everything she could.

This jam is a quiet nod to those days.
A blend of grapefruit, Cara Cara orange, and lemon, slowly cooked with vanilla and just a touch of cardamom.

Bright, fragrant, and gently bitter-sweet — meant to be drizzled over yogurt or overnight oats, or spread thickly on toast.

Comes in 2 sizes 14 Ounce and 4 Once

BUN IT FORWARD

When we can, we donate buns to neighbors or local efforts in Highland Park. Know a local org or family that could use some buns? Send us a note — we’d love to hear from you.

Fika is a pause. A small act of care. A love letter to presence.

The Swedish tradition of fika is about friends and loved ones gathering over coffee and something sweet. Our buns are made to invite that same feeling: of slowing down, of connection, of being present.

The old photographs you see here are from my grandmother’s archive. She was a quiet force. A hobby photographer, a devoted bun baker, a true fika artist. She created home wherever she went.

This is my way of staying close to her. Of honoring where I come from. Of keeping something tender alive.

HI I'M SOFIA

Some things stay with us for life. For me, it’s my bangs, and a deep love for baking. I still remember the joy of receiving my first toy kitchen. It felt like magic. It still does.

The kitchen has always been the heart of my family, across both my Swedish and Greek roots. Baking wasn’t just a hobby, it was a rhythm. A way of showing care. A way to belong.

Bun Bun is my love letter to that feeling.
A way to connect with my community.
To offer something warm, handmade, and honest.

Now, I bake to stay connected. To my roots, to slowness, to something that feels real.
And I believe a little bun can go a long way.

WRITE ME A LOVE LETTER

Because buns bring people together…sometimes literally.

Maybe you fell in love at first bite.
Maybe you just want to say hi.
Maybe you're my future bun ;)

Whatever’s on your heart: a flirt, a thank you, a fika fantasy. Leave me a little love letter.

I read every single one (preferably with a bun in hand).
